Frequently Asked Questions
What are your future plans and goals for Weekday Weekend?
I hope to start playing older console games, such as PS3 and PS2 games, on the channel soon. I want to get an old sofa and put it in the office and be able to just relax and play games on the couch like I would’ve when I was a teenager. In order to do that, I need to fix and modify my PS3, which is one of the original “fat” models that plays all PlayStation games up to that point. I just need to retroactively protect it from overheating and dying… again.
It also seems like its Blu-Ray drive is now dead, so that’s fantastic.
What are your PC specs?
My PC consists of an ASUS B450-F motherboard with a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X. I’m sporting an Nvidia 2070 Super from EVGA and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. I have more storage that I’d like to admit. I use an ASUS ROG Gladius II mouse and an ASUS ROG Strix Flare keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches (even though I prefer tactile switches like greens or blues).
I also have an old laptop leftover from my teenage years. It used to run Windows 8.1, but it runs TrueNAS CORE now. It’s got 6GB of DDR3 and a 500GB el-cheapo SSD that I swapped in instead of the old and dying HDD. It’s a Toshiba Satellite C55.
What other gear do you use to stream?
I use an Audio Technica AT2020 microphone with a PYLE PAD30MXUBT audio interface. My headphones are Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pros (80ohms). Alongside those, I use a 15-button stream deck, a Logitech 1080p webcam, a Canon 6D Mark II DSLR, two 1080p monitors, and an ASUS TUF ultrawide monitor. For lighting, I use a cheap desk lamp.
What software do you use?
I use StreamElements OBS to stream, Vegas Pro 15 to edit videos, Photoshop for photos, Audacity for audio, Discord for chatting, Alibre Design Expert for CAD, and OrcaSlicer for 3D printing.
What 3D printer do you use on stream?
The 3D printer directly over my shoulder is my Creality Ender 3 v2 Neo. It was my first 3D printer, and it’s had some durability/reliability issues. Next to that is my new BambuLab P1P, which I got recently. I’ll probably never stream with it running because it’s really fast and really loud.
